🔹 Stay Safe & Review Smart: Keeping Your Amazon Privileges Intact! 🔹

🚨 Review Like a Pro & Keep Amazon Happy! 🚨

At Book Bounty, we do everything we can to protect you and keep things Amazon-compliant, but we can only do so much—you’ve gotta play it smart too! Your reviewing privileges are in your hands, and trust us, you don’t want Amazon hitting you with the ban hammer! 😱

The Golden Rule: Don’t Go Overboard!

We get it—everyone wants Bounty Points, and want them NOW. But slamming out too many free PDF download reviews too fast is a big no-no. Amazon tracks patterns, and if they see a flood of unverified reviews from you, they might think something shady is going on. And guess what? They don’t ask questions—they just take away your ability to review. 😬

Also, not reading your ebooks or flying through the pages and leaving reviews will also get you flagged as suspicious and not being genuine in you're reviewing. When using your Kindle Unlimited subscription to read on the Kindle web or app and not leaving a review through the Kindle, Amazon may question your review behavior. You need to do things right and honestly. This includes verified purchase ebooks too, Amazon is checking to see if you're reading and not just reviewing.

Why Does Amazon Care?

Amazon is all about making that $$$, and they don’t make a dime from Free Downloads. If you ONLY review free books, they notice—and not in a good way, they think that you are trying to game the system. They love Verified Purchases because they can track every step of the process. Even Kindle Unlimited (while usually unverified) still counts because it's part of a paid subscription.

How to Stay Safe & Keep Reviewing Like a Boss:

First and foremost - Read the books you get. Review honestly and genuinely. If you try to trick or beat the Amazon system by going fast and not doing your part, it's only a matter of time before they will catch you and possibly shut you down.

Be a real consumer. It's important to show Amazon you're a real consumer. Buying only books or never having any other product shipped to you could appear unnatural consumer behavior. It's a good idea to buy other products than just books to show them you're an honest consumer and reviewer.

Here are some approaches to consider to minimize the risk of your reviews getting removed:

  • 🛒 Buy physical stuff occasionally not just books

  • 📦 Use a real delivery address

  • ⭐ Leave reviews on those physical purchases too

It doesn't have to be anything big. If Amazon does not see natural human consumer behavior, they will monitor your account more closely. 🤖🧥

⚠️ Book-Only Accounts? Amazon's Side-Eyeing You

If your account is basically just books, books, and more books, Amazon notices. And the longer it goes on, the more suspicious it looks. 😬

✅ Here are some things to consider

  • 🚫 Don't go books-only, purchase other products too.

  • 🛍️ Make occasional physical purchases that ships to your house, even low-cost items count

  • 📊 Shoot for 1 physical purchase every 10-20 ebook reviews (or once or more a month)

  • 🏠 Use your real delivery address always

  • 🐢 Don't rush space out your reviews naturally, wait at least 48 hours.

  • ⏸️ Don't have more than 2 reviews pending at the same time

🚩 Don't Do These Things

Amazon's bots are sharper than you think. They LOVE catching patterns:

  • ❌ Always buying books at the exact same price all the time? Potential Flag.

  • ❌ Always posting reviews on the same days every week? Potential Flag.

  • ❌ Never make purchases only using Kindle Unlimited all the time. Potential Flag

  • ❌ Only leaving unverified reviews. Potential Flag

  • ❌ Don't review to multiple marketplaces or marketplaces that is not your normal shipping marketplace.

  • ❌ Never purchasing anything but books. BIG flag. 🚩

  • ❌ Never purchasing anything on Amazon. BIG flag. 🚩

There are many more silent flags Amazon could add to you based on your behavior, so it's always best to give Amazon the signals that you're a real consumer because your doing things a real consumer does in Amazon eyes.

👉 Remember

Don't look like a bot yourself. Be a human. Shop like a human.

Amazon built their review system around real customers making real purchases. The members crushing it long-term are the ones who play the long game, staying natural, mixing it up, and not trying to outsmart an algorithm.

Limit Free Download Reviews – Stick to one, maybe two per week, unless you have a solid mix of paid reviews (Verified Purchases & Kindle Unlimited) to balance them out.

Note: Amazon can be harsh when it comes to unverified reviews because they don't like things they can't track. Reviewers should probably not do more than 4 Standard Free Downloads (non-Verified Purchase) reviews per week. But it wouldn't hurt to do less to be on the safer side.

You do not want to only do Standard Free Download - doing only or too many free downloads can make Amazon suspicious because they do not like anything they can not track, and they can not track your activity when you don't purchase or flip through an ebook with their Kindle.

You do not want to only do Kindle Unlimited - Doing nothing but Kindle Unlimited reviews can make Amazon question why a consumer does not make any purchases. It might not look natrual to a bot when normally purchases are made with consumer accounts.

The good news? Verified Purchase (VP) is the safest of all because Amazon trusts reviews when there is a purchase is made. The higher the purchase the more they trust your review.

Why does Amazon Remove Reviews - and reviewing best practices

Remember, you're being watched - Amazon tracks and knows reading habits. They know people can't or normally don't read 3 books in 24 hours. A normal person does not read 6 novels a week every week. When you read ebooks on their platform, they're watching your reading speed, how much of the book is read, whether you're starting from the beginning and going to the end, or making it at least 30 - 50% through the book. If you're trying to rush reviewing, you will more than likely get flagged. Amazon (and Book Bounty) wants genuine reviews, and if Amazon doesn't think you're being genuine and trying to beat the system, it's only a matter of time before they catch up with you. Don't bet against the house; the house always wins. This goes for Kindle Unlimited and Verified Purchase ebooks.

Kindle Unlimited - We recommend staying under 4 Kindle Unlimited reviews in a week, mostly because of the bullet above (You're being watched to see if you're being genuine).

Kindle Unlimited - If you're using your Kindle to read the book, leave the review through the Kindle; don't go back to the website and leave a review on the website. Normally, readers who read the book on Kindle will leave their review through the Kindle app, not the website. On occasion, you can leave a review through the website if the Kindle app is not functioning properly. Like when you try to leave a review at the end of the book and can't. But mostly you want to do it through the Kindle app.

Be a real consumer. Buy and review other products—not just books!

Keep it natural. If you're ONLY reviewing free books, that could be suspicious since these are untrackable by Amazon. Amazon prefers reviews made with purchases or with the Kindle App.

Don't use AI to write your reviews.

Don't use the same words and phrases over and over. It does not appear to be genuine if all your reviews are the same.

Don’t rush. We understand that getting points to get reviews as fast as possible is what everyone wants, but if you push it, you could harm your overall efforts. This is a long game; you have time.

Note to remember:

If you're switching from a platform that is like Book Bounty or you're using more than one platform that is like Book Bounty. Book Bounty does not know what books or publishers you've reviewed in the past. We can only protect review swapping in our own system. It's best to choose one platform and stick with it. This doesn't mean you can't ever change, just know that the longer you stay with one platform, the better the review swapping protection will be.

Amazon is like a big brother that never sleeps—so be smart, keep your reviewing legit, and enjoy racking up those sweet, sweet Bounty Points safely! 🚀📚
