At Book Bounty, we’ve designed our platform to ensure that all activities comply with Amazon’s guidelines and rules regarding book reviews. Here’s how we make sure we stay on the right side of Amazon’s policies:

  1. No Direct Review Swapping:

    • Amazon’s Policy: Amazon prohibits authors and publishers from exchanging reviews directly with one another to manipulate ratings.

    • Book Bounty’s Approach: We have a system in place where Bounty Hunters earn Bounty Points by reviewing books from the Book Bounty library. When a Bounty Hunter selects a book to review, the system ensures that they do not see the books from authors and publishers they have reviewed. This prevents any direct review swapping and keeps the process organic and unbiased.

  2. Verified vs. Non-Verified Reviews:

    • Amazon’s Policy: Verified reviews are those made by customers who purchased the book on Amazon.

    • Book Bounty’s System: We facilitate both verified and non-verified reviews. For reviews to be marked as "Verified" on Amazon, they must come from purchases made directly through Amazon. Book Bounty facilitates this by encouraging members to buy the book on Amazon, read it on their Kindle, and then leave a review. This ensures compliance with Amazon's verified purchase criteria. Non-verified reviews are provided by readers who obtain the book through Book Bounty or Kindle Unlimited, ensuring transparency and adherence to Amazon’s guidelines.

  3. Throttling Review Rates:

    • Amazon’s Policy: Amazon monitors and restricts the number of reviews an account can post in a given time to prevent spam and fake reviews.

    • Book Bounty’s Control: We have built-in throttling features that limit the speed and number of books a reader can review each week. This ensures that readers don’t review too many books too quickly, reducing the risk of any account being flagged by Amazon for suspicious activity.

  4. Transparency and Monitoring:

    • Amazon’s Policy: Amazon requires transparency and authenticity in reviews.

    • Book Bounty’s Commitment: We maintain a transparent system where all reviews are logged and tracked. We also provide tools for both authors and readers to report any suspicious activity, ensuring that our community remains genuine and trustworthy.

By adhering to these practices, Book Bounty ensures that our platform enhances your book’s visibility and credibility without violating Amazon’s review policies. We’re committed to maintaining a fair and trustworthy environment for all our users.

Please understand:

At Book Bounty, our understanding of Amazon's processes comes from online resources and anecdotal evidence. We do not claim to have complete knowledge of Amazon's internal operations. We respect and appreciate Amazon's efforts to maintain the integrity of its review platform. The advice we provide is not intended to help authors circumvent Amazon's policies.

Happy Bounty Hunting!
