Ready to make your book stand out with a killer editorial review? Let’s dive in! Here's your fun, easy guide to adding an editorial review to your books on Amazon.

Step 1: Set Up Your Author Profile

First things first—you’ll need an Amazon Author Profile. Head over to author.amazon.com and get started. If you're already using KDP, you can also access your profile by clicking "Marketing" at the top of the KDP page, then choose the Amazon marketplace where you want your Author Page to live.

  • Pro Tip: You can only create 3 author profiles, so pick the ones that matter most! If you need a fourth, you'll have to contact Amazon and sacrifice one of your 3 profiles, never to have access to it again.

Step 2: Add Your Books 🚀

Now that your Author Page is live, it’s time to show off your books! Go to the "Books" section and hit that shiny "Add a Book" button. Boom! Your book is now officially part of your Author Page! 🎉

Step 3: Pick a Format for Your Review 📚

Click on your book title and choose which format (Kindle, paperback, etc.) you’d like to attach your editorial review to. Whether it's digital or print, you’re in control!

Step 4: Edit Book Details ✏️

Next, click the "Edit book details" button. This is where the magic happens.

It's here where you can now add your editorial review.

  • Pro Tip: You can keep updating and adding more reviews to your editorial review information as much as you like.

Step 5: Drop-In Your Review (And Make It Pop!) 🌟

Here’s where you get to show off your book’s awesomeness! Goto "My Books" on Book Bounty, and click on your book to see its Bounty History. Click on the button named "Copy Editorial Code". This will copy the review with pre-formatted HTML so you can easily paste the code right into your Amazon editorial review area.

Here’s a sample HTML code you'll get to make your review shine:

<p>"This engaging collection of puzzles offers hours of fun while keeping the mind sharp. The large print format is easy to read, making it perfect for all ages. With a variety of challenges and clear solutions, it’s a delightful way to relax and exercise your brain simultaneously."<br /><br />

Pro Tip: If you want to create or edit your own Editorial Review HTML. You can just copy and paste the HTML code below and replace the text {PUT NAME HERE} with a name you wish to display and {PUT REVIEW HERE} with the review the person gave you.

<p><b>Reviewed by: {PUT NAME HERE}</b><br />

Back in your Amazon editorial review area, when adding the review, you must Click "Source" to put the editor into HTML mode and style your review however you like.

NOTE: You will need to click on the Source option to place your HTML code or it won't display properly.

Step 6: Preview Your Masterpiece 🖼️

Want to see how it all looks? Click the "Source" button again, and you’ll get a preview of your review just as it will appear on your book's page. Time to admire your work!

Step 7: Submit & Wait for Approval 🛎️

Once you're happy with the review, hit submit! Your editorial review will be sent to Amazon for approval (this can take anywhere from 1 to 8 days). Once it's approved, your review will appear on your book’s page, right under your A+ content (if you've added A+ content).

And just like that, your book is now packed with even more reader-attracting power! 🎉💥

So go ahead, add those reviews, and make your book’s Amazon page shine! 🌟
